So Stephen Strasburg made his Major League debut last night. All the Pirates' hitters could do was shake their heads and do a double take back at the mound. Yep. He's only 21. And this is his first Major League start ever. Strasburg threw 7 innings last night. Of the 21 outs, 14 were strikeouts! Are you kidding me ? He didn't walk a single batter, and the only mistake he made was leaving a change up a little high that was hit over the right field wall.
Well send him back to the Minors I guess.
His fastball was between 97-99 the whole night. He hit 100 mph in the 2nd inning. His curve ball is almost unhittable. Well, last night it was unhittable. The kid has a bright future for sure. I can't wait until he faces Pujols and the Cardinals. That will be a better test. Still, not a bad way to kick off a career.
