Why don't we have a Whole Foods?

On Tuesday, we received news of an incoming blizzard/ice storm to OKC on Thursday morning which is when we planned on driving back home. So we started making plans to drive home on Wednesday afternoon. We also had to check out of the Four Seasons this morning so we found a Hilton Garden Inn a bit further north.

We packed in a lot on Tuesday. First we went to the flagship Whole Foods store downtown. If you enjoy cooking and having a lot of fresh options, you would love to live near one of these stores. They are all about natural and organic foods but they also have a lot of things you would find at any grocery store. Its not a typical "health food" store. We ate lunch in there as well.

We left Whole Foods and headed just down the road to Waterloo Records. Its a cool music/book store with a lot of selection, including vinyls. You can listen to just about anything while you're in there too, which is pretty cool. Seems like you can't really do that anymore most places. You could literally spend hours in this place if you wanted to. Right next to it is a place called Amy's Ice Cream. Mark had been telling us about this place for a few days so we figured we had to try it. Glad we did because they have a flavor that's called Mexican Vanilla and its fantastic! Mix it up with some Reese's and you have a party in your mouth!

We dropped our stuff off at the Hilton and drove a couple miles up to IKEA. It was our first time in the store and there is A LOT to look at. Its basically in a giant warehouse and they carry things like furniture, bathroom accessories, storage and organizational items, beds, and a ton of other household items. This is another place you could spend a lot of time in, and redecorate your entire house in the process. When we left here we went across the street to the Round Rock Premium Outlets. Its your basic Outlet mall, I got a pair of jeans there but that's about it. We didn't find too much.

To finish up the night we met Patrick, Andrea, Mark, and his friend Noah at Chuy's. The food was great, the service wasn't. But it gave us a little more time with our friends before we had to leave the next day.
