The Thunder Game Was Suite!!

Wednesday was opening night for the OKC Thunder and as you may recall, we got season tickets this year so we were pretty excited to go to the game.  Early in the afternoon our Thunder rep calls me and asks if we'd be interested in complimentary tickets to a suite for the first game.  Yes please. 

After work I race to Dell to pick up Jordan and then on the arena formally known as the Ford Center.  If there was a way to not drive a car downtown and just be transplanted to the front door, I would pay extra.  The road work downtown has made driving absolutely ridiculous.  I really hope it will be done soon. 

We got to our suite (#8) and it is basically at midcourt.  Had to be one of the best seats in the house!

We stayed there the whole game.  Never made it to our real seats, but we will try those out on Sunday.  The game was awesome!  Thunder pulled away in the 4th quarter to win.  Can't wait for the next one! 

Notes:

• Russell Westbrook is awesome
• So is Derrick Rose (Chicago Bulls; point guard)
• We caught 2 shirts during the game!  Once when they drop the parachutes from the rafters, and once when Rumble shot t-shirt bullets out of the giant machine gun.  What are the odds of that!
• We have issued the most unhealthy challenge we can think of.  There is a list of all the food sold in the Ford Center and what section the concession is in.  Over the course of the season we will attempt to try everything on the menu.  Its a long season, but its a long list too.  We will probably be a few pounds heavier by April.  For the first game I had the "knife and fork hot dog" and Jordan had the nacho supreme.  Plus drinks.  $20 well worth it.  They were actually pretty good. 

We aren't going to post on every game, but we'll update the food list periodically!  I know you can hardly wait.
