Well its been about a month since the last post and since then, the Thunder have taken care of the Lakers and the Spurs and are about to play in the NBA Finals. Aside from having a blast at all the games, I think we should take a second to think about that last part. Oklahoma City is hosting an NBA Finals. That's pretty huge, and something that wasn't even a possibility just 6 or 7 years ago. Even just 3 years ago when the Thunder looked like they might set the NBA record for worst team ever after starting the season 3-29. Strange how that seems like so long ago. Now obviously we aren't the first city to ever host a championship series, but this is definitely new for OKC, and there's a buzz around here like never before. At the risk of sounding a bit pretentious - if you aren't from here, or don't live here, you might not understand. Again, I know we aren't the first, or even the first small market team to host a Finals series, but this is big.
Ok, enough of that. We've taken a few pictures over the last month, they are below. And yes that is Shaq and Barkley when the TNT crew were here for the Western Conference Finals. We tried to get on TV too, but it didn't happen. We both got to high-five Desmond Mason though, and almost high-fived Nick Collison. So close!!
